Job Title: Patent Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with 5–8 years of prior experience in patent drafting and prosecution at a law firm or IP service company.

About the Role

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background preferably in Computer Science/IT and proven expertise in drafting patent applications and preparing office action responses across major jurisdictions including the US Europe and India.

A registered patent agent with excellent technical and legal drafting skills ability to manage and mentor a small team of patent professionals while ensuring the highest standards of quality and client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patent Drafting & Prosecution
  • Draft high-quality patent applications in US EP and India.
  • Prepare and review responses to office actions from the USPTO EPO and Indian Patent Office.
  • Ensure all work meets jurisdiction-specific legal and technical requirements.
  • Project & Team Management
  • Manage and guide a team of 3–4 Sr. Associates/Associates on drafting and prosecution assignments.
  • Review drafts prepared by team members providing detailed feedback to improve quality.
  • Oversee project timelines workload distribution and delivery commitments.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering preferred.
  • Law degree desirable.
  • Prior experience in patent drafting and prosecution with a law firm or IP services company.
  • Hands-on experience in drafting patent applications and preparing responses to office actions for US EP and India.
  • Strong understanding of patent laws and prosecution practices across US EP and India.
