Job Title: Device Associate, Alexa Communications
About the RoleA device associate plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of test case instructions and reporting discrepancies. This individual is responsible for delivering results on time and to a high standard.
Main Responsibilities- Executing test cases prepared for testing software builds on the Alexa/Kindle platform and products.
- Performing test case execution and reporting bugs accurately.
- Understanding testing procedures and guidelines for new builds/releases.
- Performing regression and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds without compromising quality.
- Utilizing software tools for data capture on a daily basis.
- Communicating and escalating failures, as well as providing individual status reports.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
- Experience with testing consumer devices.
This role involves testing small components and features related to an Amazon device, application, or service. The successful candidate will follow established SOPs and execute tasks assigned on a daily basis. Defects will be raised for all observed failures, and doubts related to test instruction execution will be tracked through pre-defined mechanisms. To meet productivity and quality baselines, continuous learning from peers and on-the-job training is essential.
