Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our non-ferrous shredded metal products meet specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection & Testing: Perform detailed inspections of non-ferrous shredded metal products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Measurement & Analysis: Utilize precision measuring instruments to evaluate physical properties and dimensions of materials.
  • Documentation: Accurately document inspection results, test findings, and any deviations from quality standards in reports.
  • Defect Identification & Reporting: Identify shortfalls or any issues that affect client needs, and report these findings to the production team.
  • Compliance with Standards: Ensure all products adhere to industry standards, such as ASTM and ISO.
  • Material Testing: Conduct mechanical and chemical tests to assess the strength, durability, and integrity of non-ferrous metals.
  • Process Auditing: Participate in internal and external quality audits and assist in implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Training: Coach supervisors to meet quality targets.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols while conducting inspections, handling materials, and using inspection tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., metallurgy, chemistry).
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or related field.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards (ASTM, ISO).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
