Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and analytical leader to spearhead the development of merchandise plans across categories. As VP - Planning, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability through data-driven insights and market trends.

  • Develop and maintain departmental category MIS analytics based on actual sales, forecasts, inventory checks, and replenishment needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine high-level financial goals, pre-season financial plans, and in-season projections.
  • Prepare and present actionable recommendations to drive business growth and revenue expansion.
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of spearheading cost innovation projects. Strong leadership abilities and people development skills are essential to manage and grow a team from scratch.

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to bring about standardization, system orientation, and process improvements in Production and Operations.
  • Organize training and development programs to promote awareness and adoption of SOPs among employees.
  • Ensure effective in-season management across territories, including stock balancing, markdown management, and stock analysis.
  • Help review and refine merchandise plans to ensure profit maximization and target attainment.
  • Communicate key performance indicators and exception reporting to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Postgraduate/MBA holders with 10+ years of experience in Retail or related fields are preferred. Proven leadership ability, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential.
