Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in networking and hands-on expertise in Cisco Tetration for a remote contract position.

The engineer will be responsible for providing Level 2 operational support for Cisco Tetration, including day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for the Cisco Tetration platform.
  • Assist in the configuration and deployment of Cisco Tetration components and sensors.
  • Support the implementation of application segmentation and micro-segmentation policies across the data center environment.
  • Analyze telemetry data to ensure network visibility, security posture, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and security teams to troubleshoot policy conflicts and application visibility issues.
  • Assist with upgrades, patches, and performance tuning of the Tetration platform.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support logs related to Cisco Tetration operations.
  • Escalate issues to higher-level teams as necessary, following incident management protocols.

Requirements:

  • 7–8 years of total experience in Network Engineering or IT Infrastructure roles.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Tetration platform in operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), VLANs, ACLs, and firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of data center infrastructure, virtualization (VMware), and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with application traffic mapping, segmentation, and policy enforcement using Cisco Tetration.
  • Familiarity with network and security best practices, compliance, and audit reporting.
  • Good communication skills to work in a distributed and remote support model.
