Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a proven track record of designing and implementing high-quality, secure, and scalable data pipelines and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating robust data solutions that power reporting, analytics, and operational use cases.

This is a remote-first opportunity, with a strong preference for candidates in the Chennai area or anywhere within Tamil Nadu for occasional in-person collaboration sessions.

  • Mandatory Skills:
  • - PowerBI (must have)
  • - Snowflake (must have)
  • - Python (must have)
  • - Complex SQL Query Writing (must have) – experience with joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance tuning
  • Preferred Skills:
  • - Fivetran (nice to have)
  • - DBT (nice to have)
Responsibilities:
  1. Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, and Python.
  2. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformations, analytics, and reporting.
  3. Develop and maintain complex Power BI reports and dashboards by integrating Snowflake and other data sources.
  4. Integrate and transform structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data for reporting and analytics.
  5. Implement end-to-end data flows with minimal supervision, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
  6. Collaborate with product owners to validate requirements, define data logic, and ensure data completeness and correctness.
  7. Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices.
