Senior Data Architect Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead our team of senior data engineers in designing and implementing a scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture.

This role requires strong technical expertise in data engineering, cloud-native technologies, and big data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Databricks.

  • Job Description:
  • Lead a team of senior data engineers in designing and implementing a scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality data engineering solutions to meet business needs.
  • Solve complex data modeling and system integration issues.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, data structures/algorithms, and a focus on backend and data engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, JVM, Shell Scripting, and production experience.
  • Expertise in Data Warehouse design and development, Databricks, and dbt.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Building and maintaining Spark applications, understanding Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation) and observability systems (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana).
  • Strong CI/CD process building skills, experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins, unit testing, and test automation frameworks.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Leading a team of 4-5 senior engineers, client communication, and requirement gathering.
  • Providing constructive feedback during code reviews, focusing on business value versus engineering interest.
