Project Manager - Transition Services

The role of a Project Manager - Transition Services involves managing multiple transitions and executing projects from initiation to closure. The incumbent will report to the Transition Leader and be responsible for internal and external reporting, tracking, and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage active transitions as assigned.
  • Serve as the customer's single point of contact (SPOC) for all inquiries, decisions, actions, and updates.
  • Support the project as the first escalation point for internal and customer issues.
  • Facilitate governance calls and meetings for internal and customer updates.
  • Develop and manage relevant training programs for the transitions team.
  • Participate in assessments to determine training needs.
  • Understand the customer's strategic business objectives and define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of transition solutions for RFPs/RFIs and other pre-sales support.
  • Identify and define business cases; develop project tasks and resource requirements; create detailed project charters, plans, and transition plans based on solution complexity, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Combine process migration activities with IT implementation.
  • Provide customers with a distinct advantage by managing both IT and operations.
  • Optimize the transition methodology – reduce time, costs, risks, retain/improve quality.
  • Responsible for risk management – understand business and operational risks and develop mitigation plans. Responsible for driving process-specific business continuity planning.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining project management documents, including status reports, project plans, knowledge transfer documentation, and requisite approvals.
  • Participate in opportunity analysis/due diligence of potential projects. Support solutioning of new bids/RFP-RFI responses/client presentations and sales cycles.
