Data Architect Lead

 About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead our team's data engineering efforts. As a trusted advisor, you will provide thought leadership on process and technical matters, championing the best interests of our clients.

Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the modernization and transformation of our client's end-to-end data strategy.

Key areas of focus will be cloud-first strategies for core bet-the-company data initiatives, becoming a real champion and trusted advisor to our clients on all facets of Data Engineering, and ensuring effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Consulting clients on strategic data management solutions
  • Designing and implementing scalable data architectures
  • Collaborating with software engineers to ensure seamless integration with business applications

You must have either Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification and experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs.

Key skills required include:

  • Cloud computing platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture
  • Azure environment security (RBAC, Key Vault, Azure Security Center)
  • Kafka and Spark with production experience
  • DBA experience in large-scale MS SQL environments deployed in Azure
  • Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates
