Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, as well as managing self-hosted and on-premises assets.

About the Role

  • Design, Deploy, and Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and implement AWS cloud infrastructure solutions, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
  • Backup, High-Availability, and Disaster Recovery Solutions: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Automation Scripts and Tools: Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises resources.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments and protect sensitive data.
  • SaaS Platforms Administration: Administer company SaaS platforms to enhance user productivity, focusing on tools like Okta and AWS Workspaces.
  • Collaboration with DevOps and Development Teams: Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Tools and Technologies

  • AWS Services: Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Infrastructure Automation Tools: Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Okta SSO Platform: Proven hands-on experience supporting the Okta SSO Platform.
  • Networking Concepts: Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.
  • Monitoring Platforms: Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Data Dog, Orion, Nagios, and WhatsUp Gold.
  • Containerization Technologies: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g., ECS, EKS) is a plus.
