Job Overview

The Tax Application Specialist plays a vital role in supporting clients across Asia Pacific by resolving complex inquiries. This position involves analyzing customer concerns, identifying resolutions based on product guides and knowledge databases, and documenting interactions in the client relationship database.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional phone, email, and chat support for tax products, including complex issues, and manage customer escalations with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of corporate solutions and software products.
  • Identify and document recurring inquiries.
  • Provide guidance and monitor open tickets to ensure timely resolution.
  • Interact with customers using strong written and verbal skills, empathy, and attention to confidentiality.

Tax Knowledge Skills:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of tax preparation and accounting processes, with the ability to find answers when needed.
  • Show high proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to individual and complex issues.
  • Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries.

This is a customer-facing position providing tax support, helping clients with tax/technical questions and software-related queries. The ideal candidate will possess advanced desktop and mobile computing skills, working knowledge of internet browsing and searching, and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with CCH Axcess Tax & ProSystem fx Tax software.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 2+ years of work experience as a tax, accounting product/customer support representative at a software company.
  • Establishing and managing business relationships with third-party providers, internal resources, and customers.
