Job Overview

The role of a Game Artist is to create visually stunning game assets, intuitive user interfaces, and immersive experiences. As a key member of the development team, you will work closely with the Game Designer to conceptualize, design, and deliver production-ready assets that define the game's look, feel, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create 2D assets such as characters, environments, props, icons, and VFX.
  • Model, texture, and render 3D assets optimized for Unity/Unreal.
  • Ensure art consistency and scalability across devices.

User Interface Design:

  • Collaborate with the Game Designer to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Produce intuitive UI elements such as menus, HUDs, buttons, popups, inventories, etc.
  • Conduct iterations based on feedback and testing.

Technical & Production:

  • Export and prepare assets for seamless integration in the engine.
  • Maintain style guides and ensure asset optimization.

Requirements:

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating both 2D and 3D art skills.
  • Proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Blender, Maya (or equivalents).
  • A solid understanding of game UI/UX principles (mobile, PC, or console).
  • Experience preparing optimized assets for Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in small teams.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with animation (2D/3D or UI motion).
  • Familiarity with shaders/material setup in game engines.
  • Passion for playing and analyzing a wide range of games.
  • Previous experience on live products or shipped games.
