Senior Scientist - Lateral Flow Assay Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist to lead the development of innovative Lateral Flow Assays (LFAs) for various applications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating LFAs from conception to commercialization.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement advanced nanoparticle bioconjugation techniques for enhanced assay performance.
  • Design and optimize experimental protocols for LFA validation, including troubleshooting complex performance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of LFAs into IVD products.
  • Analyze and interpret complex scientific data to inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
Requirements:
  • A Master's or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Analytical Chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in LFA development, preferably in the academy or IVD/medical device industry.
  • Expert-level proficiency in all aspects of LFA development, including nanoparticle fabrication, characterization, and stability assessment.
  • A strong understanding of LFA materials and their impact on assay performance.
  • Experience with LFA manufacturing considerations and process scale-up.
  • Excellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific data clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing LFAs for whole blood samples, including on-board buffer integration.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines relevant to IVD product development.
  • Experience with advanced analytical techniques for characterizing nanoparticles.
