Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data platforms using Snowflake, dbt, and financial systems integration. Your focus will be on delivering trusted insights and accurate financial reporting to Accounting and Finance teams.

The role involves working closely with other engineers, analysts, and Finance partners to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines that power critical financial systems, reporting, and compliance needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Snowflake Data Engineering: Developing and optimizing data warehouse solutions in Snowflake for finance and accounting workloads.
  • dbt Development: Building and maintaining dbt models and transformations that enable clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows.
  • Financial Systems Integration: Implementing data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems to support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Designing, building, and maintaining reliable data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake, dbt, and other tools.
  • Collaboration: Working directly with Finance and Accounting partners to translate business requirements into technical designs and data solutions.
  • Data Quality & Compliance: Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial data to support audit and compliance requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, preferably with financial systems.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, performance tuning, and secure data sharing.
  • 2+ years of dbt experience (building models, transformations, testing, and documentation).
  • Strong SQL development skills with focus on efficiency and maintainability.
  • Experience working with financial or accounting data, translating business requirements into data pipelines.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts (e.g., revenue recognition, double-entry principles) and ability to partner with Finance/Accounting teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or similar).
