Job Title: Technical Operations Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Technical Operations Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of systems and services that power our products.

  • Ensure daily tasks and activities have successfully completed, taking prompt remediation steps when necessary.
  • Patching and upgrade activities will be undertaken in support of compliance programs.
  • Action requests from the ServiceNow work queue allocated to your relevant resolver group will be prioritized.
  • Investigate alerts and events detected from monitoring systems indicating a change in component health.
  • Create and maintain support documentation in departmental wikis and ServiceNow knowledge articles.
  • Work with colleagues to identify and champion automation opportunities within the team.
  • Attend and complete all mandatory training courses.
  • Engage and own the transition of new services into technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and services, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions. Strong communication skills and experience working in IT service delivery or support functions are essential.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in IT service delivery or support functions, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills developed through working in a service-centric organization.
  • Ability to interpret fault descriptions provided by customers or internal escalations and translate these into effective resolutions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize your workload effectively.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Candidates with advanced scripting capabilities using Terraform and PowerShell, as well as experience with Azure analytics and KQL, will be highly valued.
