Senior Power Electronics Systems Engineer

The Senior Power Electronics Systems Engineer will lead the development of high-performance power electronics systems for electric vehicles, including advanced DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, inverters, and sophisticated battery management interfaces.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement system architectures and component specifications for high-voltage (400V–800V) battery systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless integration and efficient communication.
  • Oversight of simulation, modelling, and analysis of complex power electronics circuits using industry-leading tools such as PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, or LTspice.
  • Guide PCB layout for high-power designs while ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and thermal management strategies.
  • Drive validation and testing of prototypes in laboratory and vehicle environments to verify performance and reliability.
  • Evaluate and select components such as IGBTs, SiC/GaN FETs, gate drivers, magnetics, and capacitors based on technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintain adherence to automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and functional safety protocols.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews and design documentation to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Key skills include:

  • A genuine passion for understanding complex power electronic systems and their applications.
  • Experience with agile methods and toolsets such as JIRA, SCRUM, KANBAN.
  • Expertise in vehicle system interfaces and integration, with a strong focus on performance and efficiency.
  • Extensive experience in HV Product Development for EV and System Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of high-voltage systems, safety protocols, and thermal management principles.
