About this role

We're seeking a results-driven professional to lead our reconciliation and settlements team. In this pivotal position, you'll be instrumental in driving business growth by ensuring seamless payment experiences for merchants.

  • Manage and supervise the reconciliation and settlement activities to maintain an effective operating model.
  • Process payments and transactions within standardized turnaround times, adhering to Service Level Agreements.
  • Identify key opportunities across process, technical, and human interfaces to develop and implement plans that drive success.
  • Employ strong technical and analytical skills to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Ensure operational risk is effectively managed and addressed in all aspects of the payments and settlement function.
Key responsibilities:
  1. Lead projects related to payments and reconciliation, ensuring timely completion and achievement of objectives.
  2. Prepare regular reports and analysis for senior management to facilitate effective monitoring and control.
Requirements
  • Relevant work experience: Preferably from international payment gateways, fintech, acquiring settlement, or banks in merchant's settlement and reconciliation experience.
  • Years of work experience: Minimum of 5 years of banking experience and proven leadership with predominant experience in merchant's settlement and reconciliation of payment gateway transactions, refunds, cash management, and nostro reconciliation.
  • Qualification: Minimum of graduation from a recognized University, preferably from an accounting background (B.COM).
