Job Description

As a senior data engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing, developing, and operating data warehouses and platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, tune databases and SQL queries to meet performance objectives, and work closely together using an agile development methodology.

This role offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in Python programming, distributed computing frameworks like Spark, and source code management systems like GIT.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and operate data warehouses and platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Tune databases and SQL queries to meet performance objectives

We are seeking a skilled professional with a proven track record as a data engineer or experience working on data engineering projects/platforms.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Python programming
  • A proven track record with 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or experience working on data engineering projects/platforms
  • Working experience with data pipelines & methodologies
  • Good knowledge & experience in distributed computing frameworks like Spark
  • Good experience with source code management systems like GIT
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering or equivalent technical background and experience
Preferred Skills

Additionally, having experience with:

  • Cloud providers like AWS, containerization, and container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes
  • Working experience with data warehouses & ETL tools
  • Capability of debugging sophisticated issues across various ETL platforms, and databases
  • Experience with DevOps and tools such as Jenkins, and Ansible

Embracing the DevOps philosophy of product development, you will also provide operational support for the post-production deployment.

Travel up to 10% may be required for this role.
