Aviation Engineering Leadership Role

The position of Airfield Engineer is critical to the success and growth of our team. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Indian office, with potential opportunities for advancement within the GCC Airfield Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as design lead for airfield civil engineering projects, driving these initiatives through various stages from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction.
  • Deliver projects by preparing technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications related to airfield engineering projects.
  • Conduct technical design reviews to meet quality management requirements and contribute to project controls.
  • Provide technical input throughout the design process and communicate effectively with team members, industry associates, and clients.
  • Identify and manage design risks, issues, and RFIs to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support Project Managers by monitoring project progress and contributing to project controls.
  • Implement technical quality requirements, address project briefs, and meet client deadlines.
  • Promote excellent health and safety in design practices.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of civil infrastructure design experience at airports, with a strong background in managing engineering professionals delivering technical aviation projects.
  • Civil engineering experience working on large, technically complex airport projects, with knowledge of international airfield design standards such as ICAO and FAA.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-leadership, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team to meet business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Status (MICE, MCIHT or equivalent).
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts such as NEC 4.
