Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our ServiceNow Platform team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and executing technical solutions to deliver out-of-the-box and custom applications to our customers on the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day support, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including midservers and integration points.
  • Work directly with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve support issues.
  • Gather, identify, and document business requirements.
  • Develop clear and concise technical and process documentations.
  • Develop, install, and troubleshoot ServiceNow applications with possible integration with other programs.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, fix defects, support users, and build enhancements for applications built in the platform.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality is being met with regard to coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security.
  • Assist in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques used to train other developers on ServiceNow system software.
  • Ensure that the software behaves as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process.
  • Provide guidance within the platform to design and implement ongoing improvements for a portfolio of processes.
  • Duties and responsibilities can be any combination of development as it relates to ServiceNow modules, tables, and system policies.
  • Develop reports for management on SLAs/KPIs as they pertain to service delivery.
  • Manage integration between ServiceNow and other systems/platforms using both mid-servers and cloud-to-cloud.
  • Work with Web Services Integration (SOAP, REST) and any bi-directional, automated integration between two systems.
  • Work with architects to define the physical design, and with analysts and product managers to understand the requirements of technical solutions.
  • Develop and test application code, user interface, and third-party integration components using prescribed application development guidelines.
  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications, coordinates application and platform upgrades.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on techniques, practices, or technologies that would enhance our needs.
  • Train junior members of the team on subject matter expertise to ensure continuous learning.
Requirements:
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience and strong working knowledge of ServiceNow platform.
  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow workflows or Flow Designer.
  • Experience configuring and implementing ServiceNow out-of-the-box applications such as ITSM/ITOM/HR/CSM/SPM/PA/APM.
  • 2+ years of experience with scripted REST APIs.
  • Experience educating internal or external customers in best practice design.
  • Experience migrating data into ServiceNow applications.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow in a large enterprise.
  • Familiarity working in an Agile environment with focus in SCRUM methodologies.
  • Experience working with Business Rules, Script Includes, Access Control Lists, Scheduled Jobs, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Catalog Client Scripts, UI Scripts, UI Policies, and Catalog UI Policies.
  • Integrated ServiceNow instance with 3rd-party applications.
  • Experience on adding additional functionalities within existing implemented integrations.
  • Experience on Catalog Items, Record Producers, Order Guides, Workflows, and Inbound Email Actions.
  • Experience on Scheduled Jobs, Events, and Email Notifications, Email Scripting, and Email Templates.
  • Excellent experience in ServiceNow Administration and Production Support.
  • Worked on transform maps, data sources, import sets, and different transform scripts for data loads and management.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and self-starter.
Preferred Requirements:
  • ServiceNow - Certified Application Developer.
  • ServiceNow - Certified Implementation Specialist ITSM/CSM/HR.
