Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our team at Continental. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data platforms and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines for specific business applications running on Continental's ONE Data & Analytics Platform
  • Work closely with the platform architect to develop key features and own modules of the platform
  • Support DevOps for various Data & Analytics applications
  • Apply latest design methodologies pertaining to data engineering to ensure pragmatic, clean, and sustainable implementations
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
  • Document solutions using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fix and improve solutions

Requirements:

  • Expert in Java, Scala, MongoDB, and Python
  • Advanced knowledge in Azure CLI, Azure Resource Management, Terraform, OpenToFu, PostgreSQL, and ADF
  • Good to have knowledge of Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, REST API, and SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4 data structure

Experience:

  • Overall 8+ years of experience
  • About 5+ years of experience in AI/ML
  • 5+ years of experience in Java, Scala, MongoDB
  • 3+ years of experience in Terraform, Azure, AWS
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with focus on computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or other natural sciences
  • MCA with professional experience
  • Other relevant education streams with strong tech experiences can be considered

  • Experience of agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Great team player and ability to work in a highly international team
  • Willingness to sometimes travel nationally and internationally to various Continental locations and external development partner locations
  • Willingness and drive to learn new things
  • Experience working in tools like JIRA, Confluence, GIT, Jenkins, etc.
  • Contribute to data & analytics community in Continental

Work Environment:

  • Part of India Delivery center in Bangalore
