Job Overview

The role of a Quality Assurance Specialist involves ensuring the execution, support, and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes within the DevSecOps department.

This position focuses on test planning, code quality enforcement, vulnerability scanning, and release readiness to guarantee secure and reliable software delivery across platforms.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for application interfaces and operations.
  • Maintain quality gates and monitor code quality metrics using Sonar Cloud.
  • Track defects from QA findings and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct thorough release readiness reviews and validate quality criteria prior to deployment.
  • Prepare and maintain audit artifacts for compliance and internal/external reviews.

Vulnerability & Security Expertise

  • Perform vulnerability scanning and reporting using tools such as Sonar Cloud and Visual Studio.
  • Support audit readiness and escalate unresolved blockers in a timely manner.

Collaboration & Support Strategies

  • Participate in weekly QA reviews and collaborate with Dev Leads, Ops, and Service teams to drive results.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for QA-related issues.

Reporting & Documentation Best Practices

  • Maintain and update system documentation and QA procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare weekly status reports detailing progress, testing tasks, and artifact collection.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless operation and integration of QA processes within DevSecOps.
  • Support release and deployment coordination for enhancements and integrations.
  • Provide training and support to team members on QA tools and processes.
  • Guarantee compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Key Competencies

  • Proven experience in QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking.
  • Knowledge of static code analysis, and vulnerability scanning (e.g. Sonar Cloud).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
