
Strategic Learning Experience Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Instructional Designer to create engaging and effective learning experiences. This role requires leveraging advancements in educational technology and digital learning to develop high-quality, instructionally sound content for diverse audiences. You will be responsible for guiding and mentoring junior instructional designers, overseeing end-to-end project management from scoping and budgeting to stakeholder collaboration and content development. Your expertise will ensure impactful learning interventions are delivered efficiently within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities- Pedagogical Approaches Powered by Research:
- Incorporate effective pedagogical techniques with a learner-centric approach, selecting appropriate models to enable desired outcomes from learning products.
- Deliver engaging pedagogy by understanding learner profiles and varying learning styles for targeted skills, anchored in solid learning theory.
- Instructional Design Strategy:
- Identify emerging trends and best practices in instructional design and content development to envision, design, and configure appropriate instructional strategies for target audiences across different geographies, prior knowledge levels, and goals.
- Design instruction for various categories of learning products, maintaining a balance between design superiority and pragmatic implementation constraints.
- Stay updated on advancements in learning platforms, services, and AI technology to leverage their potential for efficiency and agility in design and development.
- Innovative Approaches in Learning Content:
- Recommend and drive the development and implementation of effective and innovative learning content interventions for specific learning products, aligning with established models and standards.
- Ensure learning content tangibly augments pedagogical approaches, bringing rich designs to fruition through judicious leverage of technological tools (e.g., microlearning, stackable credentialing, gamification, adaptive learning).
- Be responsible for the deployment of solutions for distinctive pedagogical experiences with LMS platform teams post-QA.
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans for content design and development.
- Execute projects with effective coordination across internal and external teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Quality, Time, and Cost Management:
- Monitor project budgets and make necessary adjustments to meet time and quality commitments.
- Oversee quality checks at different project stages to ensure high standards.
- Utilize project resources effectively based on strengths and requirements.
- Learning and Development:
- Continuously update knowledge in learning principles, design, services, and content development.
- Train and mentor junior Instructional Designers.
- Education: A Graduate or Post-graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Experience:
- Extensive experience with a significant portion dedicated to coordination and management of EdTech projects.
- Instructional Design & Content:
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, instructional design frameworks, and learning theories.
- Strong English language proficiency with excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
- Project Management:
- Strong understanding of project scoping and execution.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for tracking project timelines, maintaining simple project budgets, and reporting.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership and strategic partners.
- Strong relationship skills.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with SMEs, graphic designers, LMS teams, and other stakeholders.
