The Position of a Network & Telecom Engineer is to implement, monitor and maintain all company networks and telephony configurations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on practical Cisco networking experience.

We operate in a large-scale environment consisting of 106 sites across the United States, Canada, Mexico and India with a Fortinet SDWAN design. Our Cisco phone system has been migrated from an on-premise configuration to the Cloud using Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center. This position will work closely with a managed services organization in support of these platforms as well.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple tasks, projects, and workload
  • Support the needs of our production facilities, warehouses, and sales centers
  • Learn the environment and current configurations to recommend best practice configurations
  • Work independently on projects and objectives
  • Learns new networking methodologies for future design and implementation
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on Service Availability
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement change to prevent re-occurrence

Responsibilities include:

  • A strong background with Cisco networking is required
  • Experience with Cisco telephony products, particularly Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center
  • Possess a firm understanding of SIP-trunking architectures
  • Five to Ten years of experience in a large-scale networking environment consisting of 100+ nodes
  • Managing Cisco hardware components including Firepower, wireless LAN controllers, routers, and switches
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent
  • Primary support for the enterprise WAN/LAN/WLAN environment
  • Experience with Fortinet SDWAN technologies both from an implementation and support standpoint
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with on-prem Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and wireless networking best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Knowledge and experience with F5 Load Balancers
  • Cisco Cloud telephony, Webex Calling, Webex Meetings, and Webex Contact Center
