Structural Draftsman Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Draftsman to support our structural engineering team by creating accurate and detailed BIM models and structural drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality structural drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD based on engineering markups and design requirements.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with architects, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency and quality.
  • Produce accurate shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required.
  • Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software.
  • Manage and control drafted output and implement drawing revisions.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide input on constructability and detailing issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a structural draftsman, with at least 2 years using BIM/Revit.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks.
  • Solid knowledge of structural systems and detailing standards.
  • Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Revit or BIM is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards.
  • Experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region.
