Data Migration Expert Wanted

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Specialist to lead our data migration initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing data migration strategies, ensuring seamless data transfers and minimal disruption to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive data migration plans, scope, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, mapping rules, and transformation logic.
  • IDentify data sources, assess readiness, quality, and potential risks.
  • Lead the execution of data migration activities across all project phases: extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), validation, and reconciliation.
  • Manage the migration of master data, transactional data, and historical records from legacy systems to the target platform.
  • Coordinate with functional and technical teams to validate and test data in the target system.
  • Implement automated and repeatable data migration processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data migration, data integration, or data management roles.
  • Proven experience leading at least one full-cycle data migration for a major ERP, HCM, or CRM implementation.
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, BAAN etc.
  • Experience with Data migration tools.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, master data management (MDM), and data governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Project Management Skills.
