**Job Summary:**
As a Nutrition Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of employees and patients visiting the Occupational Health Centre (OHC) to identify their nutritional needs.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in clinical nutrition, occupational health nutrition, and preventive healthcare. They should also possess excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nutritional Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of employees and patients visiting the OHC to identify nutritional needs.
- Personalized Diet Plans: Design customized diet charts for employees with lifestyle disorders, such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular conditions.
- Dietary Guidance: Provide guidance on healthy eating practices for individuals exposed to occupational risks, high-temperature environments, and physically demanding tasks.
- Canteen Management: Plan balanced, nutritious menus for canteens, ensuring alignment with occupational health and energy needs.
- Food Quality Monitoring: Monitor food quality, hygiene standards, and portioning in canteens to ensure compliance with nutrition and safety norms.
- Counseling Services: Counsel employees on healthy eating practices to prevent occupational fatigue and lifestyle-related illnesses.
- Nutrition Programs: Develop programs to support worker well-being, immunity, and energy levels.
- Awareness Sessions: Conduct awareness sessions, workshops, and health talks on balanced diet, workplace nutrition, hydration, and stress-related eating.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists in the OHC to ensure holistic patient care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of dietary assessments, menu plans, interventions, and progress for compliance and reporting purposes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's / Master's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or equivalent.
- Registration: Registered Dietician certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Dietician, preferably in occupational health, hospital, or industrial healthcare setup.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, occupational health nutrition, and preventive healthcare. Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
