Mechanical Design Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems using advanced CAD software.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in design concept generation, product development lifecycle management (PDM), plastic and sheet metal design, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and tolerance analysis.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and developing mechanical components and systems
  • Generating design concepts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute projects
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders for product qualification and certification
  • Leading small mechanical design teams and coordinating with other departments

Prior experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role is preferred, along with excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • CAD software proficiency (Creo)
  • 3D/2D drawing creation and rendering
  • PDM/Windchill platform expertise
  • Plastic and sheet metal design
  • GD&T and tolerance analysis
  • Prototyping process and packaging design
  • Tool/mould design
