Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager

To support our organization's growth, we are seeking a skilled Logistics Operations Manager in Pune, India.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage logistics and supply chain operations within the organization.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods, manage inventory, optimize transportation, invoice audit & LSPs payment, and ensure efficient delivery systems.
  • Lead and supervise a team of logistics professionals to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key Requirements:
  • Ensure productivity, efficiency, and management of various logistics operations, including tracking product shipments, contract negotiations, budget preparation, cost analysis statements, logistical planning, and shipment coordination.
  • Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes and research logistics data using methods like data mining, data modeling, or cost-benefit research.
  • Apply investigation methods or tools to comprehend, predict, or control logistics operations or processes and interpret data on logistics elements like availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or distribution.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance measures and write or revise standard operating procedures for logistics processes.
  • Confer with logistics management teams to define ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost.
  • Maintain databases of logistics data and information in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Develop or maintain models for logistics uses like cost estimating or demand forecasting.
  • Monitor industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution.
  • Develop or maintain freight rate databases for use by supply chain departments to define economical modes of transportation.
  • Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to identify and address billing errors.
  • Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, including logistics coordinators, warehouse staff, and transportation personnel.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
