Job Opportunity

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • E/M Coding Expertise: We are seeking a candidate with E/M coding expertise, including a deep understanding of CPT codes for various services.
  • Training and Coaching: The successful candidate will be responsible for training new coders on E/M coding principles, including teaching them how to analyze clinical documentation and assign appropriate codes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines through regular quality checks and feedback is an essential part of this role.
  • Process Improvement: This position requires the ability to identify areas for improvement in the coding process and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communication: Effective communication with coders, team leads, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation or resolve coding-related issues is crucial.
  • Analytical Skills: Analyzing claims data to identify patterns, errors, and areas for improvement in the coding and billing process is also required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as 3M or E-Claims, and a working knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems are necessary.
