Internal Audit Specialist Role

The ideal candidate will contribute to ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, improving processes, and facilitating audit coordination.

  • Process Enhancement:
    • Map, review, and optimize existing business processes across departments.
    • Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation or process improvements.
    • Support in establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Internal Controls & Risk Mitigation:
    • Design and implement internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
    • Conduct periodic risk assessments and control testing.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Audit Coordination:
    • Liaise with internal and external auditors.
    • Facilitate audit planning, documentation, and implementation of recommendations.
    • Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain thorough documentation of processes, controls, and risk frameworks.
    • Prepare reports for management on control effectiveness and key process metrics.

Key skills include a strong understanding of internal control frameworks, experience with process mapping and improvement tools, analytical mindset, strong communication and project management skills, ability to influence without direct authority, and proficiency with ERP systems preferably Oracle.

Requirements include a qualified CA and 4-5 years of experience, preferably from an Internal Audit function.
