We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst - Cost & Management Accountant to join our team in Nouryon. As a member of our finance department, you will be responsible for conducting financial analysis and providing forward-looking management information aimed at improving the operational and financial effectiveness of the plant.

About the Role
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide forward-looking management information to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the plant.
  • Support the Site Controller in performing controlling, month-end closing, and reporting activities for the plant.
  • Collaborate with functional teams on day-to-day finance questions.

This is a challenging position that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.


Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Month-end close and reporting: update and review cost accruals, analyze actual results vs. budget/PY in production volumes, variable costs, yields, variances, fixed costs, and OWC and capex.
  • Generate variance analysis with insights on actual site cost development.
  • Develop and maintain budgets monitoring systems and monthly reporting packages.
  • Budget/long-term/short-term forecasting: support the site controller for financial planning and drive the budgeting process for the site.
  • Coordinate preparation of short-term financial forecasts (costs, capex, FTEs).
  • Productivity: monitor plant's productivity and analyze process orders.
  • Product costing: calculate and report cost prices. Execute SAP monthly costing runs.
  • Advice on bills of materials (BOMs) changes.
  • Accounting: work closely with the accounting team and shared service centers on financial transactions in accounting systems and open GR/IR items.
  • Register fixed assets at the site and adhere to functional cost reporting requirements.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual capex booking and report budget overruns.
  • Update monthly and yearly capex forecasts.
  • Statutory and internal audits: maintain and monitor site procedures with the help of functional leads.
  • Follow up on internal audits and external financial audits.
  • Inventory: monitor cycle counts and inventory physical verification activities.
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports and analyses for the Business Unit/functions.
  • Identify, align, and execute additional activities within the center as necessary.
