We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic Surface Transportation team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in enabling effective decision making by aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be able to communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders. You will partner with Operations, Product and Tech teams to solve business problems, focusing on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities. Your ownership of the scoping and design of new metrics and enhancement of existing ones will help support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for communicating key job responsibilities to stakeholders, including:

  • Working closely with Ops managers and stakeholders to understand business issues and recommend solutions
  • Understanding trends related to Amazon business and recommending strategies to stakeholders to drive business growth
  • Identifying, developing, managing, and executing analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
  • Engaging stakeholders in constructive dialogues to convert business problems into logic problems that can be solved with data, statistics, and scripting
  • Managing and executing entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in scripting language like Python
  • Understanding of AWS Systems
