Insurance Underwriter Role

We are seeking a highly skilled insurance underwriter to join our team. As an executive underwriter, you will be responsible for analyzing risk factors associated with businesses and customizing policies by adding/removing covers, riders, or endorsements.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Risk Analysis: Analyze risk factors associated with businesses to provide accurate underwriting decisions.
  • Policy Customization: Customize policies by adding/removing covers, riders, or endorsements based on client requirements.
  • Underwriting Coordination: Coordinate with underwriters at various insurance companies to obtain quotes and underwriting decisions.
  • Follow-up and Verification: Follow up for approvals, reinsurance support (if required), and final underwriting clearance. Verify all required documents from clients (KYC, proposal forms, declarations, etc.).
  • Staying Updated: Stay updated on underwriting norms, product circulars, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Client Communication: Explain underwriting requirements, terms, exclusions, and conditions to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Team Support: Support the sales team by providing underwriting guidance and clarifications to facilitate smooth business operations.
  • Issue Resolution: Address client queries related to risk approvals or policy issuance delays in a timely and professional manner.
