Job Title: Business Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to fill a key role in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and enforcing data models and naming standards across all deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enforce data models and naming standards across all deliverables.
  • Reverse and forward engineer business legacy data models to ensure accurate representation of business processes.
  • Communicate technical data integration requirements, designs, and decisions to IT and Business stakeholders through clear and concise documentation and verbal communication.
  • Reduce data redundancy, support consolidation, transformation, and training of Business and IT members to improve overall data quality.
  • Design and develop data lineage with or without pre-existing documentation to ensure transparent data flow.
  • Create and maintain current and target state data integration models and flows to meet evolving business needs.
  • Reverse and forward engineer Business data models to the level needed for business analytics usage to drive informed decision-making.
  • Develop an understanding of Business processes and corresponding system architecture to identify source systems, understand data relationships, and determine impacted integrations.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence teams to define reporting goals and/or dashboard requirements to support strategic initiatives.
  • Design and develop data models and solutions to meet reporting and analytics needs, ensuring design documentation includes Business rules, Data security, Data quality, Lineage, Harmonization.
  • Support testing and deployment activities as required to ensure seamless integration.
  • Assist in developing and adhering to project timelines; perform other assigned project duties to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for data-related questions and quality issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Communicate technical and non-technical information clearly and effectively, both in writing and orally, to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and specifications through reports and presentations to both Business and IT teams, driving consensus and agreement.
