Senior Data Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance data pipelines that process large volumes of data.

About the Role

This critical role involves optimizing existing systems, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement scalable batch processing systems using Python and big data technologies.
  • Database Optimization: Optimize database performance, focusing on slow-running queries and latency improvements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Use Python profilers and performance monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks.
  • Data Quality Checks: Implement data quality checks and validation mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Python programming skills with focus on data processing libraries, experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.), and proven experience optimizing database performance (SQL or NoSQL).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Additional Experience: Experience with SEO data or web crawling systems, Clickhouse Database, distributed systems, microservices architecture, container orchestration, real-time data processing, and machine learning operations.
