Technical Writer

We are seeking a meticulous and innovative technical writer to create engaging documentation for vehicle systems, service manuals, parts catalogs, and training materials.

The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with strong communication and illustration skills to deliver high-quality customer-facing content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop efficient repair methods, standard times, and product descriptions at both the vehicle and component levels.
  • Prepare text and graphics from CAD data to create repair information.
  • Use an authoring system to layout information and graphics that are easy to understand and consistent with publication and illustration guidelines.
  • Maintain and update existing repair information and handle the release and ordering of translations for repair information.
  • Compile necessary specifications (manufacturing specifications, wear tolerances, pressures, etc.) for each method.
  • Ensure that repair information meets safety and quality standards, protecting both products and personnel.
  • Understand new vehicle technology and determine relevant information to communicate to customers.
  • Conduct training for other Service Engineers as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of CAD, engineering drawings, electrical systems, and diagnostic tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive and mechanical systems.
  • English proficiency at C1 level.
  • Experienced with various software packages, including word processing, SGML/XML language, CAD software, and vector-based illustration software.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in writing mechanical, electrical and technical documentation within the automotive segment and/or 3 years aftermarket experience with truck or transportation industry.
    • XML Authoring tool.
    • CorelDraw.
    • PLM & PDM tool.
    Education:
    • Bachelor's/master's in mechanical, Automobile, or related engineering.
