Senior Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Senior Counsellor to join our team.

  • Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-on-one counselling, crisis management, and creating an institutional mental-health support system. They will also identify the need for group counselling, facilitate workshops on mental health and well-being, and maintain records of the counselling services provided.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide confidential and professional one-on-one counselling services to students, addressing their socio-emotional needs and concerns.
  • Manage crises effectively, ensuring the well-being and safety of students.
  • Create and implement policies and programs that promote resilience, self-care, and well-being across the campus.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Student Life and other teams to design initiatives that foster a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Develop and conduct workshops on mental health and well-being, focusing on prevention and intervention strategies.
  • Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Counselling or a related field.
  • Training and certification in various therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
