Senior Counsellor Role

The Senior Counsellor will provide one-on-one counselling services to students, staff, and faculty members. They will work closely with the Office of Student Life to establish a mental health support system.

  • Deliver individualized counselling sessions to meet the diverse needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify crisis management and counselling requirements in emergency situations.
  • Develop and implement workshops on socio-emotional learning, community belonging, and mental well-being.
  • Establish relationships with students, staff, and faculty to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Maintain accurate records of provided counselling services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer specialist guidance to help individuals overcome personal challenges.
  • Conduct group counselling sessions as needed, focusing on specific themes or issues.
  • Identify areas for professional development and seek relevant training or certification to enhance skills.
  • Communicate effectively with young adults and adults, adapting to different communication styles and needs.
  • Prioritize self-care and maintain a healthy work-life balance to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:
