Job Summary:

As a Station Supervisor, you will oversee the efficient operation of a specific food preparation area. You will be responsible for supervising employees, assigning tasks, and ensuring that work schedules are organized and overtime is minimized.

This entry-level position provides an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in a dynamic environment. As a successful candidate, you will have 4-6 years of experience in a high-end hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service. Previous experience as a Station Supervisor or Assistant Station Supervisor is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the daily activities of assigned personnel, ensuring effective team collaboration and communication.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to employees, ensuring that work schedules are optimized and overtime is minimized.
  • Ensure that all food items prepared meet corporate recipe standards.
  • Train and monitor junior staff, providing on-the-job training to enhance their performance and prepare them for potential promotions.
  • Conduct inventory checks, determine daily food requirements, and prepare requisitions for approval by senior management.

In addition to these key responsibilities, you will work closely with other galley personnel to maintain a cooperative, productive, and effective work environment. This includes adjusting temperature controls, seasoning foods to appeal to diverse guest demographics, and participating in cleaning the workstation during and after meal preparation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Successful candidates will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution abilities. A culinary degree from a reputable institution and previous experience in a multicultural and dynamic environment are highly desirable.
