Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Security Specialist to safeguard digital platforms, secure sensitive user data, and implement robust security strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools.
  • Respond promptly to security breaches, conducting root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits of EdTech applications and systems.
  • Develop and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate security best practices into development and deployment pipelines.
  • Ensure the security of web and mobile applications, addressing vulnerabilities like OWASP Top 10.
  • Manage encryption, access control, and data protection protocols for sensitive student data.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and documentation.
  • Prepare for and support security audits and certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Work closely with engineering, product, and IT teams to design secure systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Act as a security advocate, fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Cybersecurity experience: 3-6 years
  • SIEM tool expertise
  • Risk assessment and mitigation skills
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
  • Security audit and certification experience
