Internal Control Specialist

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for conducting independent reviews of internal controls, ensuring timely reporting to team members and management, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site internal control reviews and ensure timely implementation of control processes and corrective actions.
  • Undertake special projects to identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation, with a focus on strengthening internal controls while reducing inefficiencies and inaccuracies.
  • Assess all areas of risks and implement effective risk management strategies across all functional areas.
  • Facilitate the completion of mandatory Statutory Corporate Asia reporting requirements, such as Quarterly Attestation and Semi-Annual Balance Sheet Reviews.
  • Support location management teams for Operational Financial audits by assisting in preparation, liaising with auditors if required, response development, and closure of deficiencies.
  • Analyze and evaluate accounting documents to check compliance with US GAAP and Company's internal policy.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant with more than 8 years of experience in internal audit, accounting, and audit roles, with at least 4 years in a Big 4 environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to perform Process Audit Month close review independently.
  • Outstanding knowledge of US GAAP and Indian Accounting standards.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing with team members and executive stakeholders.
  • Highly adaptable, able to work well with ambiguity.
  • Great attitude in high-pressure situations, with ability to negotiate, influence effective outcomes, drive results.
  • Strong work ethic, track record of taking on additional responsibility, self-starter, self-directed with a can-do outlook.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, technologies, adapt to changes demands in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, detail-oriented, strong time management skills, focus on achieving results, ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently in a team environment, maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Visio Project.
  • Experience in QAD Hyperion highly preferred.
