Software Development Specialist Position

This is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised software systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.

About This Role:
  • Contribute to software systems analysis and development activities
  • Utilize knowledge of software development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements
  • Analyze software to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, and conduct testing and debugging

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level developers
  • Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
  • Resolves issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in a related field
  • Intermediate level experience in Software Development role
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in building web applications using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Oracle PostgreSQL technology stack
  • Good to have Angular knowledge
  • Expertise in enterprise integrations through RESTful APIs, Kafka messaging, etc.
