Software Development Specialist

The Software Development Specialist role is an intermediate-level position responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised software systems and programs. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to software development activities, including analysis, design, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize knowledge of software development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including scripting tools and code analysis.
  • Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues and recommend solutions.
  • Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications, analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities, and conduct testing and debugging.
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, identify problems, and make evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in software development.
  • Intermediate level experience in software development role.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
