Job Title: Apple Procurement and Storage Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our apple procurement operations.

  • Lead apple procurement operations with extensive industry knowledge and expertise in Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage.
  • Evaluate and select vendors and suppliers based on proper evaluation criteria, ensuring the highest quality products.
  • Maintain product quality and extend shelf life through effective CA storage practices.
  • Monitor stock levels, quality standards, and compliance with storage protocols to optimize efficiency.
  • Liaise with farmers, traders, and distribution partners to streamline the procurement process and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide insights for cost optimization, demand forecasting, and logistics management to drive business growth.
  • Train and guide junior staff in procurement and CA storage best practices to enhance their skills and productivity.
Requirements:
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in procurement and storage of apples or other perishable produce.
  • Strong technical knowledge of CA storage systems and operations, including temperature control and humidity management.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage large-scale procurement and maintain quality consistency while adhering to industry standards.
