Automation Quality Assurance Lead

The position of Automation Lead requires a skilled QA professional to oversee the full product suite's automation across web and mobile platforms.
This role involves taking ownership of existing Playwright-Python automation frameworks, ensuring quality coverage across multiple modules, and supporting performance testing when needed.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and lead the QA automation strategy across web, mobile, and API platforms to guarantee scalable and maintainable test architectures.
- Own the design and evolution of automation frameworks to drive best practices and continuous improvement in quality assurance.
- Mentor and guide QA engineers through code reviews, training sessions, and leadership in quality culture.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to align testing efforts with release goals and deliver high-quality products.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, regression, integration, performance, and security layers for robust quality assurance.
- Drive API and backend testing initiatives including contract testing, service mocking, and microservices validation to ensure seamless integration.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins) for reliable and repeatable deployments.
- Monitor test execution and reporting through dashboards, analytics, and quality metrics to inform data-driven decisions.
- Define and maintain test data management strategies (synthetic/anonymized data, versioning) for efficient testing.
- Champion QA process improvements including tooling upgrades, environment stability, and automation ROI analysis to maximize efficiency.
- Drive non-functional testing initiatives (performance, scalability, resilience, accessibility, cross-device/browser validation) to ensure exceptional user experiences.
- Contribute to release readiness assessments, risk identification, and go/no-go decisions to guarantee timely releases.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends by exploring AI-driven testing, low-code automation platforms, and observability-driven QA to leverage innovative technologies.
- Strong background in software development and testing.
- Experience with automation frameworks like Playwright-Python.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
- Passion for staying current with emerging trends and technologies in the field of QA.
