Cloud Database Administrator Job

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Database Administrator to manage our cloud-hosted databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SQL, relational database concepts, and at least one cloud platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Provision, configure, and maintain cloud-hosted databases.
  • Monitor database performance using cloud-native tools.
  • Implement data security measures, including backup and recovery processes.
  • Migrate databases from on-premises systems to the cloud.
  • Create user accounts, roles, and permission policies for database access.
  • Troubleshoot basic database issues with guidance from senior DBAs.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and operational best practices.

This role is ideal for candidates passionate about database technologies and cloud infrastructure who are eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) and their database offerings.
  • Knowledge of database backup, restore, and disaster recovery fundamentals.
  • Awareness of database security best practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.

Cloud certifications will be considered an advantage.

Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience will be considered an asset.
