Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional technology leader to join our team as a Chapter Area Lead.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of defining software technical roadmaps and ensuring alignment to reference architecture, enterprise data standards, and modernisation priorities.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for paving the way for squads to deliver autonomously at pace by removing technology blockers, decoupling applications, and streamlining processes.

You will also plan, define, and high-level design solutions, assisting squads to identify the right technologies and ensure sound architectural decisions.

Furthermore, you will work with chapter leads on defining and forecasting tech capability requirements, supporting implementation of practices, tooling, and training provided in the Crew.

Additionally, you will drive operational excellence and support teams in charge of mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.

Moreover, you will drive good design, refactoring, and technical debt elimination, ensuring technical debt and associated impacts are visible to the Crew.

Finally, you will ensure delivery within funding allocation, actively managing and mitigating delivery and delivered risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Paving the way for squads to deliver autonomously at pace by removing technology blockers, decoupling applications, and streamlining processes.
  • Planning, definition, and high-level design of solutions, assisting squads to identify the right technologies and ensure sound architectural decisions.
  • Working with chapter leads on defining and forecasting tech capability requirements, supporting implementation of practices, tooling, and training provided in the Crew.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks used.
  • Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration.
  • Cloud - AWS large scale data warehouse implementation experience.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance software engineering processes to improve productivity.
  • Experience building RAGs using LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
  • Preferably have experience building Agentic AI systems using AutoGen, CrewAI, Pydantic, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript, or C#) and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).
  • A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and daily use of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Continue, GitHub CoPilot, Aider, Cline, etc.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in agile development methodologies and iterative experimentation from ideation to prototype to pilot to product.
  • 15+ years of experience.
  • Strong leadership skill.
