Job Description:

This position is responsible for preparing a wide range of basic food items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knife handling skills and be able to work efficiently and productively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all menu items requested by supervisors.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
  • Work effectively in any section of the kitchen, including cooking, prep, and plating.
  • Assist with food presentation and garnishes as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth service operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in an upscale hotel or resort setting.
  • A culinary school degree is required.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Knowledge of proper knife handling and storage techniques.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes and menus.
