As a senior software development engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative tools to support our mission to improve healthcare performance, cost, and quality.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse Improvement Apps, collaborating with a skilled engineering team to develop platforms that serve internal team members, clinicians, and patients. You will rely on Test-Driven Development to safely enhance and refactor our system, shipping production code multiple times per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Interpreting data, analyzing results, using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports relating to how patients engage with content.
  • Database Design and Implementation: Contributing to the design and implementation of databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical analysis and data quality used in Health Catalyst's ML/AI services.
  • Data Acquisition and Maintenance: Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources, extracting data sets from relational databases, and maintaining databases/data systems that can be incorporated into our data products.
  • Error Detection and Resolution: Filtering and "cleaning" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Business and Information Needs: Working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Process Improvement: Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of C#/.Net/ Angular / Microservices/ DS&A.
  • CI/CD Experience: Strong working knowledge of CI/CD.
  • Cloud Experience: Strong knowledge of and experience with cloud (azure).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy, in a timely manner.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.
  • Work Experience: 5+ years work experience as a app developer.
